Version 1.0 — 3 September 2026. The website works without optional cookies. Google Analytics is activated only if you explicitly accept analytics, and you can change that choice at any time.
Who is responsible?
The controller for personal data processed through this website is Daniele Morrone. Questions and requests concerning privacy can be sent to email.
Website hosting and technical logs
The website is hosted by DreamHost. When a page is requested, the hosting service automatically processes technical information such as the IP address, date and time, requested address, referring page, browser, operating system, and response status.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website, diagnose faults, and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). DreamHost states that HTTP access and error logs are retained by default for seven days.
DreamHost acts as a processor for hosted data. Because DreamHost is based in the United States, its Data Processing Addendum incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant international transfers.
Optional analytics
With consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and improve its content. The website does not activate Analytics before consent and does not configure Google Signals, advertising personalisation, remarketing, or User-ID.
Analytics may process the page address and title, referring page, interactions and session timing, browser and device information, language, approximate location, and online identifiers stored in the cookies listed below. The legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable electronic-communications rules). Refusing analytics has no effect on access to the website.
Google Ireland Limited and relevant Google affiliates and subprocessors receive this information. Google describes its international-transfer safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and Standard Contractual Clauses, in its data-transfer information. User- and event-level Analytics data is configured for a two-month retention period; Google’s standard aggregated reports may remain available for longer.

Consent is remembered for 180 days. Withdrawing consent deletes the Analytics cookies available to this site and prevents Analytics from loading on later page views. It cannot undo aggregate measurements already transmitted while consent was active.
Contact messages
If you choose to contact Daniele Morrone by email, the information in your message is used to answer and manage your request. Depending on the request, the legal basis is taking steps at your request or the legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. Messages are deleted when no longer needed, normally no later than 12 months after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing academic, contractual, or legal matter.
External links
The website contains ordinary links to external academic, repository, and social websites. No data is sent to those services merely because their links are displayed here. If you follow a link, the destination’s own privacy information and terms apply.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; request relevant data portability; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
This website does not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. To exercise a right, contact email. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
